Online casino and sports betting site Bet365.com has landed a deal with World Series of Poker bracelet winner Jesper Hougaard to be one of its poker ambassadors.
Under the terms of the new deal the Danish 24-year old will represent Bet365.com while playing and competing against some of the best poker players in the world at events like the European World Poker Tour. Hougaard will also participate in bounty tournaments every two weeks (as well as several other activities hosted by the site). He will also have his own blog with Bet365 through which he will be sharing his poker experiences, strategies and tips.
Hougaard, hailing from Coppenhagen, is a former pro ping-pong player and National Table Tennis Coach for the Danish team. He credits he’s interest in poker to fellow countryman and pro Gus Hansen.
Hougaard won his WSOP bracelet earlier this summer netting $610,000 in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event in Las Vegas.
