Full Tilt Poker Pro’s Have Successful Year

Written By Janice Doughtrey

2008 was an incredible year for online poker rooms’ Full Tilt Poker Pro’s. Both John Phan and David Pham have both had serious success this past year as well as other Full Tilt Team members including John Juanda, Erick Lindgren and Erik Seidel.

Known on the Poker Circuit as “The Razor”, Phan has established himself as one of the premiere poker players around. He has won two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, one World Poker Tour title and over two million dollars in prize money. Also worth nothing was Phan’s incredible summer run which included his first WSOP bracelet from which he netted over $430k. He then followed that win one week later with a 2nd place bracelet in the $2,500 Deuce-to-seven Triple Draw Lowball. Then in August Phan won his first WTP Legends of Poker where he won over $1 million dollars. And his winning list goes on with other WPT final tables, a 6th place showing at the Bay 101 Shooting Star even and a 5th place at the Bellagio Cup IV for a total of over $5 million in career tournament earnings!

And now Phan can add 2008 Card Player and BLUFF Magazine Player of the Year to his accolades. In a close second was fellow Full Tilt Pro, David Pham who finished 2nd for Card Player and 3rd for BLUFF Magazine Player of the Year. Pham called himself Card Player of the year last year and would’ve been the first player to win back-to-back awards had Phan not taken the top crown this past year.

Other success for the Full Tilt Poker Team included a competitive run for both Card Player and BLUFF from Juanda, Erick Lindgren and Erik Seidel. Both Full Tilt Pro’s also garnered WSOP bracelets this past year while Seidel landed a WPT win, two WSOP final table appearances and a 2nd place at the Aussie Millions Main Event.
