British Columbia gamers have just been given something to get excited about after a new agreement was announced between WMS Gaming Inc. and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). WMS Gaming develops online gaming software and games that have expanded into the social and mobile gaming markets, giving the company a distinct reputation as one of the top names in the industry. The new BCLC agreement will install links to WMS slots on the BCLC affiliate site PlayNow.com by using WMS’ own remote game server integration technology.
BCLC has held a 14 year agreement with WMS for land-based slots at BC casinos. The online arrangement will provide registered PlayNow online gamers access to several of WMS’ most popular slots games including The Wizard of Oz, Reel ‘Em In, and Jackpot Party. These gamers have been extremely popular within BC casinos, and PlayNow hopes to establish similar success and loyalty online. PlayNow.com has provided online casino games to BC players since 2004, as well as a sportsbetting platform, eBingo games, and links to Canada’s largest lottery games LottoMax and Lotto 649.
BCLC Vice President Rhonda Garvey says the relationship between BCLC and WMS has been very strong for over 14 years. “We are delighted to now offer our online players the opportunity to play the virtual version of WMS’ popular slot games.”
Orrin Edidin, President of WMS Gaming parent company WMS Industries, is also excited about the new agreement and the potential to build a successful online following. “The key to building player loyalty on the casino floor or online at home is to consistently offer great gaming entertainment experiences, and our proven content is an ideal solution to extend our customers’ gaming entertainment beyond the casino’s four walls.”
Details about the deal are being kept under wraps, including the launch date that WMS games will be installed on PlayNow.com.
