Titan Poker, which is the largest poker room on the iPoker Network, has announced that it has presented talented poker player Greg Metzak with a cheque of 40,000 Euros this week. The cheque was awarded to Greg, who is a 23 year-old psychology student from Canada for his performance at the Euro City Poker Tour (ECPT) in Madrid. Greg got the chance to play in Madrid after he won an online free roll tournament which was hosted by Titan Poker only for its top VIP Players.
For Greg this was the first time he was playing at a live tournament and was traveling for the first time to Europe. Despite his lack of experience the Canadian student defeated a number of experienced players and won the first prize. He stated, “I thank Titan Poker for giving me the chance of traveling to Europe and registering a win. I cannot ask for more.”
Even though he has won, he intends to keep quiet about his winning till he gets home. The second place at the tournament was won by another Titan Poker player Ingo Nassall from Germany who took home a cash prize of 23,000 Euros.
The website regularly awards its players with seats for major poker tournaments like the European Poker Tour and the Aussie Millions. In a few months the site will be sending its players to the World Series of Poker 2008 in Las Vegas, and the Asian Poker Tour in Manila.
