William Hill and Playtech both made an announcement earlier this week that explained that they will now be working together as a joint venture company. Both companies have British roots and are publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange. Henry Birch will be the leader of the new combined effort.

This combination presents a great opportunity for both companies to be much more successful in the online gambling markets and is projected to make over 140 million GBP before the end of 2008. Both companies currently have a solid client base and are well known names in the industry.

Since both businesses currently operate on nearly the same platform combining the two together is said to cost a minimal amount but produce great results and generate much higher revenues in the upcoming years.

In the short term no major changes are to be expected for either client base but players of online casinos can expect great things in the upcoming future. The new casino promises to have a great new poker room as well as an impressive new online casino containing traditional and many games that are set to launch in the New Year.

Both companies have great employees and have been practicing their respective businesses for several years. They bring strengths in software as well as user interface to support this new joint force. The companies are saying that they currently have plans to keep all their employees and are not going to be overlapping roles in the plan to work together.
