Leading online casino, CasinoRed.com, has been granted a license to open its first land-based casino and entertainment venue in the UK.
The company plans to open its first land-based casino in the former Princess Cinema on Northumberland Street in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Chief Executive Officer of CasinoRed, Nicholas Boyes-Hunter, said, “Everyone associated with CasinoRed is delighted to now have the opportunity to develop an entertainment venue that the town can enjoy.”
“The decision means CasinoRed will open the doors to its first land-based site within six months, creating over 120 jobs and bringing £10 million worth of investment to the area in the process,” he added.
Visitors to the new casino will enter an enormous reception area from where they can access any of the facilities on offer over four floors including gaming, dining and live entertainment.
The lower floor of the casino will house a poker room, while the ground floor will host more gaming activities including blackjack, roulette and slot machines.
The mezzanine circle floor will feature Scarlet, an 85-seat restaurant and separate circle bar, both with views of the ground floor gaming and stage area.
General Manager of the new casino, Dov Haase, said, “I believe this is a huge chance to provide the people of Huddersfield with a casino they will be proud of and will quickly be recognized as one of the best in the country.”
