Online Casino Ladbrokes Appoints New Chairman

Ladbrokes online casino has announced the appointment of Peter Erskine as Chairman. Erskine will be replacing current Chairman, Sir Ian Robinson who will be stepping down in May following the general annual meeting.

Erskine used to be a Chief Executive Officer with O2 and was a board member of Spain’s Telefonica SA. Erskine, who will become Non-Executive Director at the beginning of January, will officially take over for Robinson in May after an increase in gross eight years ago from $740 million to $1.92 billion last year.

Ladbrokes Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bell thanked Robinson for his valued contributions spanning over 8 years. He also made note of Erskine’s extensive background in international marketing and of building brand-led businesses, transforming O2 into a leading mobile services provider in Europe. He also helped create considerable shareholder value.

Erskine expressed his admiration for Ladbrokes as a leader in the global betting and gaming market and his enthusiasm for future development.
