The online poker room Bodog Poker has announced that it is hosting the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Qualifiers on a daily basis. The semifinals of the event are scheduled to be held on September 7th at the site which is guaranteeing players at least 2 seats in the WSOP Europe Main Event. The site is offering a main event prize package of $24,000. The prize package break down is – roughly $20,000 to cover the buy-in (£10,000), round-trip airfare, stylish travel to and from the airport, luxury hotel accommodations, Team Bodog player gear and spending cash.
The qualifiers for the main event have already begun at the site. These qualifying tournaments are being run daily and a player can pay as little as $1 to enter. All the winners of these daily qualifiers will then play in the WSOPE Semi-final, from there at least two players will be awarded the 2008 WSOPE Main Event prize package.
The 2008 WSOPE Main Event, No Limit Texas Hold’em, will take place for over six days, September 27th – October 2nd, and will be held at the London Clubs International in London, England.
In the event held last year, the site sent Matt McCullough who qualified for it online and made history by becoming the last remaining American player in the event. He finished in 3rd place, earning $766,674.
