April Fool Surprise Win At Online Casino

Written By Janice Doughtrey

One lucky player thought he was being pranked on April fools day when the reels of the popular Pharaoh’s Treasure online slot machine rang up three pharaoh symbols but after a phone call to online casino William Hills customer support, he was told it in fact that the real deal…he had just netted himself almost £115,000.

The lucky winner, Paul Gwilym is a 29-year old entrepreneur from Tremorfa, Cardiff. He runs his own chocolate fountain and ice sculpture business in the wedding industry called Chochire Icehire.

Paul has said he plans to use the money to buy his disabled mother a new car, a new caravan for his siblings and the rest of the money will go towards paying off the money he needed to start up his own business only a mere 2-years ago. Paul said he really values this win as it will help him pay off his business debts and loans and will know allow him to offer more services for his clients.

Paul, who usually plays the poker tables, said he wandered over to the slots when he was bored. He actually began the night with a £1,000 win but quickly put most of that money back into the machine. Persistence paid off and Paul didn’t have to wait long! Ten spins later he was staring at three pharaohs and a whopping £114,561.16 jackpot.

William Hill spokesperson Jennie Prest said she too was a bit surprised having thought at first the call was a prank too! She said William Hill are delighted for Paul and that his win was likely the largest in the Wales area to date.
