Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hosts Their Second Annual Music for A Mission

This year the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has launched their second annual Music for a Mission event. Starting last year in July of 2015, this is a new event that will be hosted each year by the popular Nevada casino as a nonprofit way to raise money for the community.

The original Music for a Mission was a huge success. It occurs during select performances during the Friday Night Live at the Pool event. The Friday Night Live at the Pool event is an unforgettable experience filled with a day of dynamic music choices within a tropical setting. Along with the concerts, guests attending the event can play a variety of bar games and order some great drinks.

The casino donates three cabanas to be used for every show, and the money gathered from the event goes straight to nonprofit organizations that provide a continuing effort to enhance the community and other areas of Southern Nevada. The cabanas given to each organization are typically sold off to auctions as a way to make money, or to be given out to show appreciation. Not only does the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino offer the cabanas, but they give each organization credit to be used on other casino amenities such as bottle service, cocktails, and much more.

The 2016 Music for Mission festival had quite a lineup, which include performances from bands such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Southern area of Nevada, Eagles of Death Metal, Mac Demarco and Ducktails, and much more. Each band volunteers at the event to put on a free show that will help raise money for the participating organizations.

There have been a lot of organizations that took place in the event previously and some that are planning on returning. Communities in Schools of Nevada is a large local affiliate group that works to help keep kids in school and being successful. They work to provide students with the resources they need and get them more involved in activities in their local school community. It teaches life lessons that will help them later in life.

HELP is another group that has participated in the Music for a Mission event, which operates nine different departments and has served over 103,000 clients over the course of this past year. They work to provide needed assistance to families in low income situations and help them become more self-sufficient so that they can provide for themselves.
