Lesniak Makes A Second Go To Re-introduce Bill

New Jersey’s largest horse farm is going out of business. Perretti Farms has been a staple in the horse industry for the past 20 years, and now that it’s going out of business, so are , 13,000 jobs, and a $1 billion horse racing industry in New Jersey. Owner of Perretti Farms, William J. Perretti announced that over the next two year period, the equine inventory would be dispersed, being sold on November 7th at Harrisburg, October 3rd at Lexington, and 2012 yearlings would be sold again at Harrisburg and Lexington next year.

Illinois Governor Not Signing On Gambling Expansion

It’s a rocky time for the gambling industry and legalization in the United States. There are so many reasons to expand gambling operations, such as more tax revenue for the state and nation, and it’s what the public wants, isn’t it? There are also many reasons why the public and lawmakers are opposed to gambling expansion, after all, it could lead to more gambling addiction, underage gambling, and more personal debt for individuals.

Online Poker Legalization Ads On Airwaves

The fight for online poker legalization has just escalated. A group of casino operators which include Commerce Casino, Bicycle Club, Hollywood Park Casino, as well as operators of American Indian gaming facilities, including the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians have taken over the radio and television air waves with ads. The ads are by the California Online Poker Association, and urge the public as well as lawmakers to legalize online poker in California. The ads started airing in the Sacramento area this week.
